Experimental soft box used.
This was shot at the end of a long shoot in the Adirondack region. Since the cold temperatures were starting to set in, a pond nearby had frozen into a few inches of thick ice. The light and color of the ice was too good to pass up, so I set the model up in a ‘power stance’ with his body facing a big softbox with head turned to face me. The overall domination of the greys and blues played in well with the warmth of the grasses and his skin tone. Post production included creating contrast via overlay layers, and general brightness/contrast.
